Hello & Welcome to The
Handlebar Gastro Pub!
My name is Carolyn & my husband's name is
Bill. It was a life long dream of Billy's to
open a restaurant of his own. Well we made
that dream come true on January 15, 2007
when he quit his job as a Union Plasterer
and we purchased the "Handlebar Restaurant &
Lounge" in Mount Sinai, New York. It was his
idea to have a place where a doctor, lawyer,
nurse, mechanic, hair dresser or even an
Indian Chief could come have a drink, a bite
to eat hang out & relax, enjoy some music
while sitting right next to each other. In
all our travels, motorcycle rally's were the
best. You can ride into a town filled with
thousands of motorcycles, ridden by
thousands of different people, coming from
different walks of life. What they all have
in common is they want to have some fun,
something to eat & drink. Here at the
Handlebar Gastropub, you don't need a
motorcycle, you just need to relax & enjoy.
It doesn't matter who the person sitting
next to you is because he also wants to
relax & enjoy.
We
are not about being a stuffy white linen
tablecloth restaurant. We are about being
the best First "Gastro Pub" on Long Island
to bring you something more than your normal
Pub Grub. We will find the best intriguing
recipes for you to try on our blackboard
specials. All our food is prepared fresh
daily including our sauces & potato chips.
So stop by have a drink, a bite to eat &
relax a while!
